Planning is underway for the 2009 Car Show and we expect this year's show to be bigger and better.
The show begins at 7:00 A.M. and will end around 3:00 P.M. after the trophy presentations. The show will be held on
Saturday, July 18th with a rain date of July 25th.
Due to construction at Pinnacle Elementary School, the car show will be moved
to Pilot Mountain.
The show will be on grass on the Salem Logistics property located on old highway 52 across from Edd
Lindley Tire and Automotive. Trophies will be awarded in over 50 classes with "Best of Show" trophies awarded
in 10 categories.
The owners of the first 50 vehicles to register will have 4 chances to win $50 each. Pre-registration
will be available.
All pre-registered car owners will be in special drawing for a new laptop computer.
Goodie bags will be given to the first 100 vehicles.
As in previous years, there will be music and concessions available. Door prizes will
be given away at 15 minute intervals throughout the day.
There will be a 50/50 raffle the day of the show and for the past three years, the winners have received
more than $500 at each show. 50/50 tickets are $1.00 each.
There will also be a second raffle with three prizes: 1st prize is a 42-inch HD TV,
2nd prize is a Laptop, 3rd prize is a Blu Ray DVD player. Raffle tickets are $2.00 each.
The show is free to the public, so come out, bring a lounge chair and enjoy a full day of fun, music
and beautiful cars and trucks.
